SHIBARI

Shibari

Step-by-step

At Subspace, we take things slowly on purpose. Rather than overwhelm you with information, we move at a steady pace, explaining each detail, repeating where needed, and making sure you truly understand what your hands are doing. Small groups, clear guidance, and a calm learning rhythm: that’s how confidence is built.

Our Shibari classes are designed to be accessible, supportive, and safe for anyone curious about rope. We keep groups intimate so we can offer individual attention at every stage of your learning process.

How we teach

  • Steady progression: from foundational skills to more complex work, always with safety, consent, and clear technique.

  • Repetition with intention: we revisit key steps so what you learn stays with you the next day, and the next.

  • Small groups: so you can ask questions, receive feedback, and grow at your own pace.

What we offer

  1. Three six-week programs (progressive, small-group courses that build skill and confidence week by week).

  2. Two stand-alone workshops only:

    • Tasting the Ropes: a playful, beginner-friendly introduction.

    • Self-Tie: focused practice for tying on your own with safety and presence.

  3. Summer school: themed weekend programs to further explore specific skills. (T.B.A.)

If you’re new

Start with Tasting the Ropes to feel the pace, atmosphere, and basics of our approach. If it resonates, continue with our six-week program #1 for structured, skill-building progress.

* Our workshops are non-refundable. When you book a workshop, please make sure to double-check if you can actually attend the day and time of your reservation.

** To not interfere with our schedule and that of the other participants, we can't interrupt our workshops for participants who arrive late.
