6 week program #2

SIX-WEEK PROGRAM · 02

From rope to flow

Six weeks. Less following. More finding your own way.

A six-week continuation for people who already know the foundations and are ready to discover what they can do with them. We move beyond individual techniques into floor work, connection, movement and suspension, with more room for choice, experimentation and your own way of tying.

For graduates of Program 01 or practitioners with equivalent experience. Singles welcome.

Knowing the ties is only the beginning

You already know how to make rope work. Now we begin exploring what you can do with it.

In this program, technique becomes a starting point rather than the destination. We revisit familiar structures, refine them and begin making choices: adapting a tie to the body in front of you, changing direction, introducing movement, or letting one idea lead naturally into another.

We also bring more attention to what happens between two people. Through floor work and connective tying, we explore how touch, tension, movement and intention can become part of the conversation, and how the same rope can feel entirely different depending on how you use it.

As the weeks progress, we take those ideas into partial and full suspension. Rather than treating suspension as a collection of shapes to reproduce, you’ll begin learning how to create, move and adapt with the person in your ropes.

The goal is not simply to know more ties. It is to need them less.

Six weeks. More room to explore.

Each class builds on what you already know, gradually shifting the focus from technique towards choice, connection and movement.

Come as you are

This program is for people who have completed Program 01: From the First Knot to Partial Suspension, or who already have equivalent experience with Shibari.

You should feel comfortable with basic knots, single and double column ties, and fundamental frictions. You don’t need to arrive with an impressive repertoire of harnesses or suspension experience. What matters is that the foundations are there and that you’re ready to build on them.

You can join on your own or with a partner .Singles are very welcome and will be paired with another participant. During the classes, we switch roles so everyone has the opportunity to experience both tying and being tied.

If you prefer to stay in one role, please come with a dedicated partner.

You’ll need a minimum of 6 × 8m ropes, preferably treated hemp or jute, as well as climbing-rated carabiners for the later classes. POSH or hempex rope is also welcome. Please don’t bring untreated rope or rope sold for decorative or sex-shop use. If you’re unsure whether your rope is suitable, just ask.

Don’t have all the rope you need yet? No problem. Suitable rope is available for purchase at Subspace.
