Where From Rope to Flow refines your technique, Tension & Trust dives into the pulse beneath it: the living current that moves between two bodies when rope becomes communication.
This six-week program is an exploration of connection, intimacy, and energetic exchange. It’s designed for duos who wish to go beyond the mechanics of tying, and into the subtleties of rhythm, responsiveness, and emotional dialogue.
To preserve the warmth and presence of this work, we welcome only three couples, keeping the space soft, attentive and truly intimate.
Each Saturday, we will move deeper into the interplay of power and surrender, of movement and stillness. Through guided exercises and partnered exploration, you’ll learn to sense and shape energy, to play with flow and resistance, and to create scenes that breathe with awareness and care.
This is a couples-only program, inviting partners who already share trust and curiosity in their practice.
The six-week program (#3) begins on Saturday, 7 March 2026.
Each class is structured for both partners to tie and be tied, but you can of course stay in one role too.
At this point, you already own a set of hemp or jute rope. For this series we recommend at least 6 x 8m.
Rope is also available for purchase at Subspace. We offer hemp ropes: traditional, natural fibers favored for their strength, softness and responsiveness. You may buy them before or after each class, or visit our webshop.
