After you've taken a beginners course and had lots of practice, there are two options if you want to continue your journey. Either you participate in our FOLLOW-UP course where you will work in duo's to improve your tying skills, or you chose the Self Tie course where we will practice only on ourselves.
During the 2,5 hour Self Tie workshop, we will follow-up on your basic skills and focus on important building blocks in Shibari that are suitable for self tie. Just like our beginners' workshop, you do not need a partner to be able to participate in this course. The focus of this workshop will be on tying ourselves.
Minimum requirements to be able to participate in this workshop are mastering basic ties and knots like lark’s head, square knot, half hitch and single and double column ties.
Unlike our 2A FOLLOW-UP workshop, you don't need a partner to be able to participate in this course. You will not be paired either. If, however, you do decide to bring a partner, you can use your practice time to tie your partner too.
We recommend fitting, comfortable clothes for the rigger as well as the model. You will need a minimum of 3 jute or hemp ropes, preferably with a 5 or 6mm width and 8m length.
